Pebble is a 2022 JB74 Suzuki Jimny

I picked her up in early Jan 2022 with the lift already completed and had the car gutted within 12 hours of picking it up ready for sound proofing, as well as pulling the bumper off for a bullbar and recovery points to go on. Not much was done inside but I had custom supafit seatcovers go on right away as well as floor mats and a dash mat. We picked up the car on a friday afternoon and 7 days later had the basic setup ready to go camping for her first trip. 

I have done countless mods to the car over time, some voluntarily some with more push behind them. Only 3 months after picking up the car I blew the clutch after attempting to bog her in soft sand, so a heavy duty clutch was forced upon me. 

Over time I've added plenty more mods including rock sliders, snorkel, winch, light bar, custom rear table, dual battery system and custom rear setup. The most recent one being an onboard compressor which will get a hardline plumbed out to the bullbar in time to stop the need of popping the bonnet at all to air up. 

The car has been broken many times but is taken me on plenty of adventures to make up for the hard parts, there is plenty more to come with mods to her and I'm excited to see where she takes me next.

I got a set of red headlight halos off Ebay and we installed them behind the front reflector, running them through an independent spotlight harness so they run separate to the headlights. It gives the front end such a mean look

2024 Suzuki Jimny XL

This is Stinga, my 2022 Suzuki Jimny!

In February 2022 I took a major risk and put down my first ever deposit. At 18 years old I thought I was going to be in so much trouble for doing this, not because it was a silly thing to do but NO ONE knew, not even my parents… but, I did it anyways and I don’t regret it at all! My parents, friends and family love my little zook. My dad always asks if I want to trade cars, sorry old man, but absolutely not. 

Stinga was as naked as they come and I didn’t want to be driving a naked car around forever. At least the windows were tinted… When doing the background work and discussing with the salesman at Suzuki, I had booked in the ARB 2” lift from Old Man Emu, the Deluxe powder coated bullbar and powder coated base rack. When I say this changed the entire appearance, it CHANGED the ENTIRE appearance. It was a whole face lift and I couldn’t stop smiling when I picked the zook up! The guys at ARB wangara where I got this all done are the best! Each time I go there they always say “you’re back again, it’s only been a few days?!” Yes… I know. 

A few months down the track I started looking at other things I could do and stumbled across snorkels and diff breathers. I thought how cool but how silly, I don’t need that. Christmas and my birthday come, whack went on the Ironman snorkel and diff breathers. After this I said, no more. I was absolutely in awe of how my car looked with these mods but something was missing and I kept complaining each time I went camping and didn’t have it. The postman arrived with the CAOS nomad bub 270° freestanding awning, now this thing… oof, it’s amazing! I’ve never seen an awning so good and fitting for the jimny!

The inside is pretty standard, nothing too flash. However, I have added in 3D trufit mats from OzJimny which are so perfect it makes me want to hug the person who made them. Along with the mats… we all know this is the ultimate car for storing absolutely everything and anything, not. I’ve recently just added in the Kaon rear shelf which installs into the handles! This thing was a dream to install. 

The purpose behind my car was to just get out and see what adventure is around. I’ve always wanted to have a car that can go anywhere I can on foot. My lil zook have proven to do just that and more. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this little beast and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
