Mac Preston's 79 Series Lancruiser

Mac Preston from TJ & Mac's youtube channel, @macpreston on instagram and brands shed life and no wasted weekends has spent the last few years building a truly one of a kind 79 Series. Starting from an already heavily modified 79 series coil converted by Blue Flame Automotive and performance mods from Fast Lane Fabrications including throttle body top mount delete and four inch intake through to a custom airbox and phat bars 5" snorkel the car started life as a Sandy Taupe 79. Full superior engineering pre-rego 5" Lift and Long Arm 5-Link Coil Conversion allows it to roll on the black top with 37s (KMC Machette polished alloys wrapped in Nitto Trail Grapplers). Once it was in Mac's hands it was destined for change. And the unique styling he's applied is a beautiful evolution of the themes present in his Ranger build. Painting the entire car black with the team at Speedshop including cleaning up old holes and spot welds to clean up the body, and keeping the factory bumper and fitting a middle east spec tray back have created a unique profile that stands out from most 79s in the community. A comprehensive (lightweight) 12v set up with all the essentials but none of the normal extremes like a coffee machine and induction cooking, the car is all car no nonsense. Featuring barwork from Phat bars, Lightforce driving lights, harrop e-lockers the driveline was recently complimented by an amazing automatic transmission conversion featuring the 8HP gearbox from the team at Zero to 60 (8Speed) who handle drift and race monsters through to some of the most impressive 79 series in the country. Most recently the interior has had a big upgrade complimenting the car builders sound deadening a huge package of bits and pieces from PVS including rear view mirror, customer steering wheel and other nice bits that bring the 79 up into the 21st century.
