Purchased bone stock in June 2022 I have built this up to let me get out on to more challenging tracks, while being suitable for daily duties around town and touring with the kids.

Once I took ownership of the vehicle I quickly got to work in the garage putting in a few long nights to transform this thing to what I wanted.

For suspension, I opted for Dobinsons 2 inch adjustable IMS coilovers in the front, with Dobsinsons coils in the rear with Bilstein shocks. The vehicle had Pedders airbags in the rear which I have retained, although as I don't tow I have never really used them.

For wheels I opted for Black Rhino's with a 0 offset. I paired these with a set of trusty 33 inch Maxxis Raxr MT's. I've found the Razr's to be a solid tyre after running them on a previous vehicle and they haven't let me down.

I have retained the factory upper control arms as I have never had any issues with scrubbing with the tyres and wheel combo.

Originally I opted for an Offroad Animal Toro bullbar. This bar looks great and allows easy fitment of the winch with the bar in place. After about 9 months with the bar on however I decided to change course and move to an AFN bar, mostly due to the more solid nature of the AFN construction.

I have run a Runva 13XP winch in a prior vehicle and once again opted for the Runva in the Prado. 

For a roofrack I have gone with the Yakima platform rack. After running a Rhino previously I reckon the Yakima is bloody awesome and comes in cheaper for arguably the same or better quality. I have a number of Razed Products tie downs mounts for chucking the swag on, along with shovel mounts and a Rola gas bottle holder.

Recovery gear is a mix of George 4x4 straps/soft shackles/tow hitch, and Mean Mother straps.

UHF setup is a GME XRS330 UHF.

For exhaust I have gone with a Torqit DPF back system, which gives a modestly improved note but given the 1GD is a little 4 cylinder turbo engine there really isn't a lot to be gained by way of sound.

 The all important underbody protection is covered by the entire kit from Kaon. Their products are bloody awesome and fit up nicely and have taken plenty of hard knocks offroad and take the beatings in their stride.

For sliders I opted for a set of square tube style from WA based Donald Industries. Like the underbody kit, these have taken a heap of hits and have held up really well. From a functionality and aesthetic stand point these really do a great overall job and I can't compain at all.

I have gone with the Bushwrapz PPF protection for side panels which has been an awesome call - those have taken a massive amount of rough bush driving and handle it really well and keep the sides looking top notch.

Thick Stainless Steel

Internally & Externally Welded Flanges 
Internal and external welds on all our flanges reduce structural fatigue on the joints, stop cracks from forming, and prevent exhaust gas leaks. Each exhaust is TIG welded for maximum strength. TIG welding is complex and more time-consuming than the usual MIG welding technique used on exhausts; however produces a precise, clean finish with no welding spatter.

Mandrel Bent System

Titanium Coated Dump Pipes
The titanium coating on Torqit’s dump pipes is highly heat-resistant, helping disperse heat and cool the engine bay and its components. Because titanium is a tough, low-corrosion metal, it is more durable than ceramic coatings, which chip, crack and corrode over time.

High Flow Diesel Catalytic Converter
Torqit’s high-flow cats include 200 cells per square inch (CPSI) compared to the 400 CPSI of standard cats. This reduced CPSI increases exhaust flow and helps disperse heat for improved power, fuel economy and overall performance.  You will especially see a boost in power if your vehicle has been remapped, heavily modified or upgraded with a supercharger/turbocharger.

Double Braided Flex Bellows
A flex bellow absorbs excess movement and vibrations on your 4WDs’ chassis. This reduces strain on your exhaust, prevents cracking, and caters for slight adjustments during fitment. Made from tough 304-grade stainless steel, Torqit’s double-braided design reinforces the bellow to prevent gases from escaping, reduce deterioration from heat and gases, and improve durability.
