Ongoing resto! 
This is my 1975 Suzuki lj50v. Bought at the start of lockdown as a project but time and money have made it a much longer project! Rust meant we had to do a body swap and teach myself how to do rust repairs. Car won’t have much in the way of mods but it’ll still be a weapon!
Great car to learn on!

15” steelies with the triangular holes 

Steel wheels

Swapped the factory lights for these. Have wired the hall ring into the indicators too

Led 7” headlights 

Used these as reverse lights in replacement of the singular light. Had to do some modifications to the lights themselves to fit as the fins clashed with the chassis. 

Flush mount square lights 

I am using these as spotties/driving lights. Have these mounted on my bullbar.

2024 Suzuki Jimny XL

This is Stinga, my 2022 Suzuki Jimny!

In February 2022 I took a major risk and put down my first ever deposit. At 18 years old I thought I was going to be in so much trouble for doing this, not because it was a silly thing to do but NO ONE knew, not even my parents… but, I did it anyways and I don’t regret it at all! My parents, friends and family love my little zook. My dad always asks if I want to trade cars, sorry old man, but absolutely not. 

Stinga was as naked as they come and I didn’t want to be driving a naked car around forever. At least the windows were tinted… When doing the background work and discussing with the salesman at Suzuki, I had booked in the ARB 2” lift from Old Man Emu, the Deluxe powder coated bullbar and powder coated base rack. When I say this changed the entire appearance, it CHANGED the ENTIRE appearance. It was a whole face lift and I couldn’t stop smiling when I picked the zook up! The guys at ARB wangara where I got this all done are the best! Each time I go there they always say “you’re back again, it’s only been a few days?!” Yes… I know. 

A few months down the track I started looking at other things I could do and stumbled across snorkels and diff breathers. I thought how cool but how silly, I don’t need that. Christmas and my birthday come, whack went on the Ironman snorkel and diff breathers. After this I said, no more. I was absolutely in awe of how my car looked with these mods but something was missing and I kept complaining each time I went camping and didn’t have it. The postman arrived with the CAOS nomad bub 270° freestanding awning, now this thing… oof, it’s amazing! I’ve never seen an awning so good and fitting for the jimny!

The inside is pretty standard, nothing too flash. However, I have added in 3D trufit mats from OzJimny which are so perfect it makes me want to hug the person who made them. Along with the mats… we all know this is the ultimate car for storing absolutely everything and anything, not. I’ve recently just added in the Kaon rear shelf which installs into the handles! This thing was a dream to install. 

The purpose behind my car was to just get out and see what adventure is around. I’ve always wanted to have a car that can go anywhere I can on foot. My lil zook have proven to do just that and more. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this little beast and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
